News Updates.

2016 Master’s Nationals, Worcester, MA.

2015 was another stellar year for PBRA at the Master's National Championships.  We hauled off FIVE GOLD , THREE SILVER and ONE BRONZE medals.

We are waiting for Regatta Central to post the official results for 2016.

2016 Paralympics, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

PBRA is so proud to celibrate the achievement of DORIAN WEBER in winning a Silver Medal  in the Lightweight Coxed Four event at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio.  Dorian [on the right of this crew photo] regularly sculls with us on Lake Mangonia.  While PBRA has several past Olympians and US National Team members this is the first time we have been able to boast of a current team member.

Well done Dorian for this fine achievement.

2016 World Master's Regatta, Copenhagen, Denmark.

James K. Green, one of our founding members, won the men's single event in the 60 and older age group, posting the fastest time of the 79 competitors.

Around the club.

Our Membership has continued to grow with both new members plus John Pauly and Tim Tress who were members over 20 years. More recently two accomplished Women Masters scullers, Nancy Gourley and Lisa Browne-Banic joined the club, dispelling any notion that PBRA is an all-male establishment.  We hope to see them completing for the club later in 2016.

Another past member, John Hokanson returned to the club.

Certainly the level of activity at the club is noticeably busier than last year.

Long-time member Peter Derow has installed a hansom board to display medals won by members at regattas, National and World Championships.

To accommodate the number of new private singles at the club we are installing several Burnham Boat Company double boat slings and hoists.

We have room for another two singles at the club using the Burnham double boat hoist system
